This policy forms part of our Terms of Service (/terms). It exists to keep Canton Check fair, fast and affordable for everyone, and to protect the people and companies that appear in our reports.
1. Usage limits
We apply automated limits to the website, the REST API and the MCP server:

| Free full reports | 1 per visitor; unlocking a report someone shared with you uses your own allowance |

We may change these limits, set different limits for paid or enterprise plans, and slow down or block traffic that looks automated or abusive. If you need higher volumes, tell us through /contact.
2. Do not
- Scrape, crawl or bulk-download the Service, or run automated searches beyond the limits above.
- Build or enrich a database, dataset or competing product from our reports or API responses.
- Resell, sublicense or republish reports, except sharing individual reports with people involved in your own decision.
- Create multiple accounts, rotate IP addresses or share API keys to get around limits or free allowances.
- Use reports to make decisions about individuals' credit, insurance, employment or housing eligibility.
- Use personal information in reports to contact, harass, intimidate or harm the individuals named.
- Use the Service for fraud, sanctions or export-control evasion, or any other unlawful purpose.
- Test, probe or attack the Service's security, or overload it. If you find a vulnerability, report it through /contact ("Security report").
- Remove source labels, coverage notes or disclaimers when sharing reports.
3. Enforcement
We may warn, rate-limit, suspend or terminate access, revoke API keys and delete data obtained in breach of this policy. Where appropriate, we may also report unlawful activity.
